We knew we had tough opposition against a good team from the Premier Division and discussed this with the lads prior to kick off. After a bright start where we have 2 or 3 really good chances to take the lead we went 4-0 down in quick succession to take us into the break. We made a lot of changes in the second half and played some really good football but again could not take the chances created, with the only goal coming as a consolation from Hussain who worked tirelessly throughout and deserved his goal. The whole team played some good football in spells and with 6 of our 9 new signings featuring it was a good work out with lots to work on before the start of the new season. Mark Lemm the chairman of Reading YMCA spoke to us after the game and admitted we played really well in the first half and said a fair score for the first half should have been 1-1 but said that as soon as the 3rd goal went in he saw our heads drop.
